Abstract
In 1973, Dr. N.R. Farid and ourselves1 reported an increase in E rosettes and a proportionate reduction in EAC rosettes in Graves's disease and in Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Although this observation seemed to be confirmed by Aoki et al.,2 it could not be repeated by Wara and her colleagues3 or by Urbaniak et al.4 , 5 who reported normal counts of E rosettes in both disorders. In the continuation of our studies and accumulation of further data we have been unable to repeat the earlier results, and now find no difference between normal persons and those with either Graves's or Hashimoto's diseases in terms of the proportions of E rosettes in the peripheral blood. Keywords
