Abstract
nuclei have been elastically scattered from , Ni (natural isotope abundance), , and at a laboratory energy of 158 Mev. The angular distributions obtained show features similar to those obtained for alpha particles scattered from various nuclei. However, diffraction effects are evident for target nuclei of higher atomic number with the alpha particle as the bombarding nucleus than with as the bombarding nucleus. A survey of the literature is presented to show that diffraction effects become evident for , where .
