Abstract
The development current statusof the Oklahoma State Health Department Chronic Disease Screening Program the characteristics of the screened population are discussed. In 10 counties 22.5% of all people 35-64 yrs. of age participated in the program; 17% of screenees have one or more known chronic condition. Twenty-one percent of screenees were referred to their physicians for further evaluation of a previously unknown condition.
