Abstract
Pentaquin (6-methoxy-8-(5-iso-propylaminoamylamino)-quinoline) is very effective in the control of vivax malaria when given at the rate of 20 mg. per 8-hr. period for 10 days. Toxic effects occurred in nearly 50% of the cases, therefore further trials are necessary to determine the max. efficient dose. It is significant that a stable level of the drug appeared in the blood plasma much earlier than has been found true for the related pamaquin. Keywords
