Abstract
With the aid of the least-square inverse-filtering theory, a simple minimum-phase criterion has been derived for sampled signals. The criterion provides the user with the number of zeros of the z-transform of the signal inside the unit circle (|z|<1). In addition, a measure of stability is proposed, showing how far the signal is remote from the (non) minimumphase property. Keywords
