Abstract
Three cases of persisting carotid-basilar anastomoses of the trigeminal artery type are reported in which aneurysms on the circle of Willis are associated. Carotid angiography was the method of investigation employed. Fourteen similar cases have been described previously and are discussed. The presence of structural defects in the arterial walls of the circle of Willis in cases of persisting trigeminal arteries appears to be the main etiological factor. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
