Abstract

A calculation is performed of the asymmetry

A = \frac{[Γ (K^{+} \to π^{+} π^{+} π^{-}) - Γ (K^{-} \to π^{-} π^{-} π^{+})]}{[Γ (K^{+} \to π^{+} π^{+} π^{-}) + Γ (K^{-} π^{-} π^{-} π^{+})]}

in the Kobayashi-Maskawa model using soft-pion results of current algebra. The prediction obtained is

〈 A 〉 = 0.74 | ε^{'} |

, where

ε^{'}

is the

CP

-violating parameter of neutral kaons involving violations of the

Δ I = \frac{1}{2}

rule.
