Exponential tail of the electronic density of levels in a random potential

Abstract
The density of levels of a disordered system falls off exponentially at large negative energies in the region of localised states if the randomness is gaussian. The authors compute the absolute normalisation of the pre-exponential factor in order to make contact with available two-dimensional numerical results.Keywords
