Abstract
The bremsstrahlung spectrum for 600 eV electrons on Xe in the photon energy range 70-200 eV is calculated with the 'atomic' bremsstrahlung mechanism taken into account. It is the first time that such a process has been considered beyond the Born approximation for projectiles. Results are compared with previous theoretical calculations and experimental data and it is shown that 'atomic' bremsstrahlung is essential to reproduce the shape of the experimental spectrum. Keywords
