Electrochemical Detection of 2-Naphthol on Boron-Doped Diamond Influence of Anodic Treatment

Abstract
Synthetic boron‐doped diamond thin film electrodes have been tested for electroanalytical detection of 2‐naphthol. This redox reaction was studied by cyclic voltammetry in aqueous acidic solution. Well‐resolved oxidation waves were observed and the voltammetric peaks exhibited naphthol concentration dependence. Linear calibration curves were obtained after a simple electrochemical anodic pretreatment. ©2000 The Electrochemical Society
