Abstract
In a study of the serum alkaline phosphatase levels of 85 non-hospitalized elderly patients it was shown that the mean levels were higher than those found in younger age groups. In most cases a level of over 12 King-Armstrong units was due to elevation of the liver isoenzyme. No obvious cause for this was found. The serum calcium and phosphate levels are reported. Keywords
