Abstract
The fractional independent yield of has been found to be 0.057±0.010 from the thermal-neutron fission of . This value leads to a calculated value of 49.5±0.1 for the "most probable charge" for fission products with and implies that there is no pronounced effect of the 50-proton shell on the function. It was also found that 40.4±2.4% of fission-product is formed by beta decay of 4.4-min and that 53.9±2.1% is formed by beta decay of 2.15-h .
