Abstract
The present overview evaluates the evidence in favor of the efficacy of (traditional) behavior therapy, cognitive-behavior therapy, and cognitive therapy in the treatment of clinically significant depressions. The results of single-case and comparison group studies are used to highlight clinical issues that require more systematic attention and to suggest future research directions. Keywords
