Abstract
A random-phase approximation for χ(q,ω) with a BCS irreducible susceptibility, provides a simple framework for examining the interplay of antiferromagnetic and superconducting correlations. Here we study the neutron-scattering spectral weight in the normal and superconducting states for both an s and a - gap.
