Abstract
Prey remains in grey heron [Ardea cinerea] pellets from north-east Scotland [UK] are described and compared with pellets from England. In the mammalian part of the bird''s diet, field voles [Microtus agrestis] were an important prey in Scotland but water voles [Arvicola amphibius] and moles [Talpa europaea] were more important in England. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
