Abstract
Whether elderly persons In the future will be spatially concentrated or dispersed depends on the spatial scale being used. For example, they may be concentrated within age-segregated housing projects, yet dispersed across neighborhoods. In this paper successive area levels are used in analyzing future trends: state, metropolitan area, central city, neighborhood, retirement village, and housing complex. Keywords
