A Consumer Evaluation of Air Force Food Service

Abstract
An 18-page consumer opinion survey was administered to 1687 enlisted personnel at Travis Air Force Base, Minot Air Force Base, and Homestead Air Force Base to elicit opinions on a wide range of factors thought to determine and/or influence consumer utilization and acceptance of a food service facility. Survey results indicated that the customers do find fault with both the food and non-food aspects of military food service, but that in most cases the food factors are rated lower.
