Abstract
Seven new species, namely Deflandrea antarctica, D. macmurdoensis, D. asym-metrica, D. distincta, Spinidinium aperturum, S. rotundum, and Cordosphaeridium filosum, are described from Tertiary erratics found at Black Island and Minna Bluff. The presence is recorded of several other species of fossil dinoflagellates and acritarchs previously described from regions outside Antarctica. Microfloras from the two localities show considerable differences in the relative abundances of major species. Keywords
