Abstract
Eleven isolates of Saprolegnia assigned to the species S. diclina, S. hypogyna, S. parasitica and S. ferax were examined for variation in DNA base composition. Data indicate that Saprolegnia may be a relatively homogeneous taxon and that any isolate whose base composition is not between 55.5 and 60.5% GC (guanosine-cytosine) should be excluded from the genus. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
