Abstract
The patients were treated with 2% procaine hydro-chloride according to Asian''s method for either 6 or 13 months. A control group was given saline. Procaine hydrochloride treatment did not appreciably alter the symptomatology and the course of the senile and arteriosclerotic brain disease. The general mood and level of activity improved temporarily. It was also helpful for a short time in alleviating depressive symptoms in these patients. Keywords
