Abstract
Two asymmetric double‐probe configurations are presented. In each pair, one probe (antiprobe) has a surface area much larger than the other one (e probe). This asymmetry enables one to obtain the entire electron branch of the IV characteristic and its second derivative. The e probe is axisymmetrically surrounded by the antiprobe and this geometrical arrangement leads to the removal of the influence of plasma potential fluctuations on the measurements. One of the configurations, owing to the supplement of another probe (ion probe or i probe), enables one to remove fluctuations of plasma density and thus to obtain the complete parameters of a turbulent plasma.
