Abstract
The shape, width, and location of the 16-MeV resonances in the -particle energy spectrum from the reaction were found to be a function of the angle taken by the breakup fragments in the subsequent decay of the . This was caused by the long-range electrostatic interaction between the particle and the breakup particles.
