Abstract
Brainstem gliomas are now regarded as a heterogeneous group of tumors that can be distinguished by age of onset, clinical and radiological presentation and biological behavior. This paper will focus on each subtype of tumor, in children and in adults, and on recent advances in diagnostic criteria and therapeutic options. Keywords
