Treatment of Late Endophthalmitis Associated With Filtering Blebs

Abstract
A therapeutic regimen consisting of the subconjunctival injection of 150 mg of methicillin, 20 mg of gentamicin, 4 mg of betamethasone, 500 mg of systemically administered sodium fusidate three times daily, 10 mg of prednisolone four times daily, and topically applied gentamicin and dexamethasone was used in the treatment of 20 cases of endophthalmitis due to filtration blebs. Sixteen patients had a good response to treatment with no loss of visual acuity.Keywords
