Abstract
"A comparison of three marmosets and three rhesus macaques was made with a delayed-response procedure. Care was taken to control difference in learning-test experience through giving an identical number of trials for each delay interval to all Ss. Rather than being trained to a criterion on each delay, Ss were trained on all delay-intervals simultaneously . . ‥ The marmosets were tested for 1,200 problems, and the macaques received 900. The rhesus macaque was clearly superior to the marmoset throughout the entire experiment and for all the delay intervals. This difference was accentuated for the longer delays."
