Abstract
The spectrum and eigenmodes for a cylindrical constant current magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) model with constant resistivity are obtained analytically. Even for high magnetic Reynolds number, a class of stable shear Alfven-like modes show considerable resistive damping.Keywords
