Subordinate Loyalty to Superior, Esprit, and Aspects of Bureaucratic Structure

Abstract
The concern of this study was to examine the relationship between two dimensions of organization — centralization and formalization — and two aspects of employee orientation — subordinate loyalty and es prit. For this purpose data were collected from the professional staffs of 41 secondary schools and compared on these dimensions. The results of the multiple regression analyses revealed that the relationships were somewhat more complicated than originally hypothesized.
