Abstract
This report describes a surgical procedure for preparing a pancreato-duodenal fistula in the dog which permits maintenance of the animal without intravenous fluids or oral pancreas. After periods of 30 to 50 days no pancreatitis was observed even on histological examination. The rate of secretion of pancreatic juice was from 300 to 700 ml per 24 hours in individual animals but varied little from day to day. Keywords
