Heating of end region plasma in a theta pinch

Abstract
Rapid heating of the plasma in the end region of a turbulent, collisionless theta pinch has been observed by spectroscopic methods. Nonclassical energy transport from the hot central plasma is the most probable explanation for this heating.Keywords
