Abstract
In-field evaluations of proposed modifications to in-field traps Anthonomus grandis Boheman, clear plastic cylinders (5 by 5 cm) were found to be equal to clear plastic boxes (5 by 5 by 5 cm) as capture containers, clear lids on the capture containers were found to be superior to opaque lids, molded screen cones were found to be equal to stapled cones, and traps with holes in the top of the base were found to be superior to traps without holes. A modified trap with all four evaluated trap components captured 42% more boll weevils than a standard infield trap. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
