Abstract
The angular distributions of gamma radiation from Coulomb excitation with respect to the incident proton beam on thick targets have been measured in the even-even nuclei , , , , , , , , and . The particle parameters for a thick target deduced from the measurements on , , , and agree to within the accuracy of the experiments (±2 to 5% for ) with the numerical results from the quantum-mechanical treatment of the Coulomb excitation process.
