Abstract
The feeding pattern of 3 wild rabbits reared in captivity was recorded. During 4 wk the daily light period ranged from 0700 h to 2100 h. The following 7 wk it was changed to 2000 h to 1000 h. The shift of the light phase did not modify the quantitative feed intake; the circadian distribution [rhythm] of feed intake progressively changed within about 4 wk towards an adaptation to the new light period. In some individuals this adaptation was not entirely achieved after 7 wk.This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
