Neutron diffraction study of PuSb: The critical regime

Abstract
Neutron diffraction measurements on a large single crystal of PuSb242 have been performed near TN=85.3 K to measure the development of long-range magnetic order (β=0.31±0.02) below TN and the anisotropy and temperature dependence of the short-range magnetic correlations (ν=0.58±0.05, κ?/κ=1.8±0.2) above TN. Comparisons are made to other Ce and U compounds and to recent theoretical calculations of Kioussis and Cooper.
