Abstract
A routine method is described for the measurement of tritium in rain and river waters by liquid scintillation counting after enrichment by electrolysis. A relatively large enrichment is achieved in a small cell by use of a continuous feed system that requires a minimum of attention. Electrolysis is carried out in a bank of standardised cells, and activities are obtained to an accuracy of better than 15 per cent. without the need for deuterium determinations.
