Aftermath of Suicide

Abstract
Forty-four spouses of suicides followed up after five years showed no significant differences from the widowed by other causes in respect of mortality and remarriage rates. A minority were stigmatized and most found the inquest unpleasant. Outcome was evenly polarized into better off and worse off.Keywords
