Abstract
The enactment of P.L. 94-142 has mandated changes in the assessment and education of individuals with varying handicapping conditions. The law has provided the basis for securing a systematic methodology for the identification, assessment, and education of children with handicaps. Of specific interest to the National Joint Committee on Learning Disabilities (NJCLD) are those individuals identified categorically within the law as having learning disabilities.Keywords
