Abstract
This descriptive study explored the concerns of terminally ill adult hospitalized Hindu cancer patients in Safdarjang Hospital, New Delhi, India. A one-time interview with 11 patients and six informants was conducted in Hindi by the investigator. A content analysis of the patient and informant interviews revealed five major categories of concern themes: physical or physiological concerns, illness-related concerns, social concerns, personal concerns, and spiritual concerns. The informants also indicated concerns of their own: concerns related to patients' illness, social concerns, spiritual concerns, and personal concerns. Implications for nursing practice are discussed. Keywords
