Abstract
A detailed account is given of available solar absorption lines arising from the neutral and ionized alkaline earth elements. Careful use of theoretical and experimental oscillator strengths leads to the following revized abundances, on the scale where log N (H) = 12.00: log N (Mg) = 7.48 log N (Ca) = 6.33 log N (Sr) = 2.82 log N (Ba) = 1.90Keywords
