Abstract
Human nucleus pulposus and umbilical cords were extracted with water, and the extracts and residues obtained on centrifugation were analyzed for mucopolysac-charides. It was found that, in the extract of nucleus pulposus, the yield of keratosulphate was smaller than that of chondroitin sulphate. In the umbilical cord extract, the yield of the chrondroitin sulphate was smaller than that of hyaluronate. Keywords
