Abstract
The interaction of transverse acoustic waves with other excitations (cyclotron and helicon waves) is investigated and conditions for growing waves are discussed. The mathematical solution is obtained with the aid of the usual small signal assumptions and the dispersion equation derived is analysed in terms of the interactions of no more- than two waves. Keywords
