Abstract
Stylopage rhabdoides subsists on Amoeba verrucosa in maizemeal-agar plate culture permeated with mycelium of Pythium ultimum and decomposed friable barley straw. Acaulopage ischnospora was observed on maizemeal-agar plate cultures of Pythium ultimum and deciduous leaf mold; it preys on 2 unnamed spp. of Amoeba. Acaulopage crobylospora in Pythium ultimum cultures further planted with small quantities of ash leaves preys on Leptomyxa sp., a reticulate rhizopod, and in turn it is captured and destroyed by a septate mycelium probably belonging to a hyphomycete of the predaceous series most familiarly exemplified in Arthro-botrys oligospora.
