INFECTION DUE TO SALMONELLA CHOLERAESUIS

Abstract
Three cases of blood-stream infection caused by S. choleraesuis var. Kunzendorj are described. One case was typhoidal and 2 were of the pneumonic type. Case histories, clinical summaries and laboratory findings are reported. In one case S. choleraesuis var. Kunzendorj was isolated in its specific phase; in the other 2 cases the organisms were in the group phase when isolated.
