Abstract
This paper compared 23 children with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) on continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis to a matched sample of healthy children. The rate of separation anxiety disorder was significantly higher in the children with ESRD. In their family environments, mothers of ESRD children reported significantly lower independence and achievement orientation than mothers of control children. Keywords
