Abstract
Carbonyl derivatives of phenylhydrazine, 2-nitrophenylhydrazine, 2, 4-dinitrophenazine, semicarbozone, and hydroxylamine are converted to their corresponding carbonyl compounds with tetrakis(pyridine)silver dichromate in benzene. Selectivity is also observed for benzylic C = N cleavage. Keywords
