Abstract
In addition to the usual procedures in the treatment of arterial insufficiency with gangrene of the feet or legs, the author suggests exercise to stimulate collateral blood flow and improve the metabolic state of the involved tissues. After careful protection of the damaged parts, patients were encouraged to stand and walk. The results of this ambulatory regimen in 22 patients are presented. Keywords
