Abstract
A method for rapid sexing of large numbers of Drosophila melanogaster Meigen flies developed at Beltsville, Md., in 1961, makes use of an air stream uniform in velocity and the difference in size between the two sexes. By this method 44 to 123 thousand flies were processed in 4-6 hr with 80% or greater sex separation efficiency. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
