Abstract
Wheat, corn, rice, and peanuts were treated with various amounts of dichlorvos either before or after inoculations with Aspergillus flavus Link. Dichlorvos at an intended deposit of 20 ppm on wheat before inoculation prevented aflatoxin production. Aflatoxin production was greater when the dosage of dichlorvos was reduced below 20 ppm, the treatment followed inoculation rather than before inoculation or when the substrate was either corn, rice, or peanuts instead of wheat. Keywords
