Abstract
We report measurements of the resistivity and Hall effect on single- and multiple-domain thin films of Pr from 0.05 to 500 K. The two types of samples show nearly identical transport properties above 300 K, including a resistivity minimum near 480 K. Below 50 K dramatic differences in the transport are evident as the resistivity is divergent in multiple-domain samples but nearly constant in single-domain samples. The results support an electronic structure where a dispersive lower-energy localized band competes for carriers with a higher-energy metallic band on the Cu planes.
