Abstract
The fluorescence of NAD+ and of NADH in alkaline solution was increased by the addition of ethanol to the reaction mixture. Solutions of 4.5 × 10−10 μmole of coenzyme in 0.625 ml, 8 N in NaOH, were treated with 3.0 ml of aqueous ethanol solutions of various concentrations. A 50% (v/v) solution was most effective, increasing the fluorescence intensity 2.3–2.7 times that of water-treated preparations. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
