High Angular Momentum Components in the Subbarrier Fusion of Heavy Ions

Abstract
The fusion of + has been studied near and just below the Coulomb barrier. High angular momentum components were observed by measurement of -ray multiplicity distributions for the decay of the evaporation residues.
